Welcome to Bryant, Arkansas.
Bryant is a city located in Saline County, Arkansas. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 9,764. Bryant is located in central Arkansas, just a few miles southeast of Little Rock, the state capital. Bryant enjoyed a population increase of 36 percent from 1980 to 1990, making it one of the fastest growing communities in Arkansas. There's a good reason for this remarkable growth. It's called Quality of Life. Ask residents or newcomers why they chose Bryant as their home and you'll find a common thread in their response...excellent schools, safe neighborhoods, friendly folks, convenient shopping, and most of all, a small-town community spirit and concern for others. And all of this is within a few miles of a metropolitan city!

Bryant citizens have a rock-solid history of supporting their schools. With an enrollment of more than 5,600 students, the Bryant School District is one of the finest in the state. The main campus is in the heart of the city. Additional kindergarten-through-grade-5 elementary schools are outside the city limits in the nearby communities of Salem, Springhill and Vimy Ridge. Bryant schools excel in both academics and athletics, earning a reputation as a well-rounded educational system. A branch of the Saline County Library is within walking distance of the main school campus. There are numerous nursery schools and preschools in Bryant, and several area churches offer "Mothers-Day-Out" programs. The University of Arkansas at Little Rock campus is 15 to 20 minutes away, and both day and night classes are also offered at the UALR Learning Center in Benton. Other colleges, universities and vocational/technical colleges are nearby.
Bryant is located on Interstate 30, one of the nation's major interstates. A drive to the heart of downtown Little Rock is less than 20 miles. Dallas, Memphis, St. Louis and other major cities are easily accessible by automobile. In mornings and evenings, you'll spot energy-conscious citizens using Bryant's commuter parking lot. Car-pooling is common and Central Arkansas Transit operates an Express round-trip bus that makes several downtown and State Capitol stops. A trip to the Little Rock Regional Airport takes only 30 minutes. Services is offered by most major national air carriers. A smaller municipal airport is located in nearby Benton. Amtrak rail passenger service is available in Little Rock. Business and industry is also served by more than 60 franchised motor carriers and terminals, the Union Pacific Railroad and the Arkansas River Navigation System's Port of Little Rock.
What draws people to Bryant is its community living. But many of our residents also enjoy being close to the metropolitan excitement offered by Little Rock. Museums, an arts center, a magnificent zoo, the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, Ballet Arkansas, the Arkansas Repertory Theatre and the Broadway Theatre Series are all just minutes away. Bryant is the perfect place for raising a family. Our tree-shaded parks, a swimming pool, tennis and basketball courts, picnic and playground areas, jogging and walking trails and much more are located in our community. Ashley Park has one of the state's largest youth baseball and softball programs. Several area churches also offer recreational facilities and programs for the entire family. Seasonal festivals such as Fall fest and Bryant Alive are held in Mills Park each year, drawing hundreds of Bryant families who participate in arts and crafts, games and contests, entertainment and just "plain old-fashioned fun." Mills Park is also a popular spot for church picnics, family reunions and other group outings. Boswell Community Center is also available to residents for meetings and civic activities. Golf courses, lakes, rivers and other outdoor and recreational attractions are nearby, providing ample opportunities for leisure sports, fishing, boating and camping. Take to the woods and waters to share in nature's beauty, or head to town for big-city adventures.
We invite you to visit Bryant and see for yourself why our city is one of the fastest-growing communities in Arkansas, and why Bryant's theme is "The Community You're Proud to Call Home.
